Managed to walk the whole length of Jln Arjuna (Double Six) all the way back to the Jayakarta this arvo. Found some great bargains at Ceinora this time - lovely caftan styled tops (100% cotton) at 65%off! Bought a white one with pink embroidery... only Rp 90,000!
Am still on the hunt for a beaded deep purple evening bag for my mother-in-law... and also a pair of white wedgy sandals for my teen neighbour. They've been rather difficult to find.
Discovered that the Swiss Resto (also Consulate) has moved to its new premises at Istana Kuta Galleria.
Also FOB (the factory outlet on Legian) is closing down at the end of the month... From what we see... loads of businesses have gone under...
Dropped by a tailor around the corner from the Jayakarta... and decided to try him out. Am making a copy of a fave blouse... and a few alterations to some kid's shorts... as well as changing all buttons on a pair of jeans... for each alteration, ADI TAILOR is charging me Rp 15,000 per item. As for the copy of the blouse, he is charging me Rp 180,000 (inclusive of fabric).

Breakfast at Tanaya's Cafe... great omelettes!
Lunch at SOHO (the 24-hr American diner)... the BEST burgers we've tasted ANYWHERE on this planet! Would definitely recommend it! (offside comment: The blond and hunky young chef sounded British...)
Dinner at Tekor Bali again.
