We received a circular from Singapore Airlines advising that they are adhering strictly to maximum allowable baggage allowances and requested that all Travel Agencies advise their clients who are flying Singapore Airlines that, to avoid embarrassment and delays on check-in that they are aware of Economy Class limits of 20Kgs per passenger Checked Baggage and maximum 7 Kgs for Cabin Baggage which must also be in accordance with strict size limits.
As fuel prices continue to rise, airlines are left with no alternative but to do this to prevent higher levels of Fuel Surcharges which affect ALL passengers and not just those who attempt to get away with extra baggage weight without paying a premium for this.
