Concerning luggage there was once a time a way, I am married to a girl from Bali and recieved many gifts from my wifes family, my luggage was about 40kg over, when i checked in the girl asked for 400 usd excess, i explained my holiday was coming to a end and i had no money, my wife politely asked the girl for help, and the check in asked for 300,000rph which we paid.
problem solved.
i wouldnt suggest openly bribeing check in but asking for a little help, might get you the reply your looking for,
I openly paid the girl in front of a policeman, no worries .
though when i go back next week i wont be tempting fate again,
