I have walked past this resort many times, but never ventured in for a closer look, so I can only comment to you on location.
It is located on Eat Street - or Jalan Laksmana, right near great restaurants. No clubs really along this strip, more dining and there is the Metro sports bar next door, owned by Steve, an ex-Melbourne guy, where we spent many evenings with a drink or three.
Walking distance to the beach, probably about a 10 minute walk.
So if you like to wander nearby for dinner, is very convenient and a few more shops sprouting up in the area.
From the outside it does look "old", but I guess it is a fairly budget priced place in Seminyak. I woldn't expect anything but a basic room here and no idea of cleanliness etc.
