I didn't have any touble with mosquitos in my room either, however I did find I got bitten a few times at night in some Ubud restaurants.
I saw fire flies around the lights near the steeping stones in front of the super-deluxe rooms during my stay (rooms 18-24). They were there at dusk, while I was taking sunset photos.
