You can't go past Bali Hai Resort for an excellent Hotel. With 199 rooms, it is situated near the airport on JL Wana Segara with a number of good, inexpensive restaurants nearby. It is right on the beach from which you can walk to Kuta in 10 minutes or so. The staff are excellent, grounds well manicured and kept. Buffet B/Fast is huge and the insitu cafes are not majorly expensive. Have a look at their web site. We have had 15 visits there and on one of those my Daughter was married in the hotel grounds.
