We have stayed at the Kartika and loved it. The pool bar is great. Just make sure you get a pool side room as we were stuck right at the back of the hotel. Needed a cut lunch and water bag just to get anywhere. We now stay in the Legian area as we prefer that end of town. Never stayed the Rama Hotel & spa so can't comment on that. Cheers
