We stayed there last week and the week before and found it to be in a great location, terrific standard for what you pay.

The Suri Wathi (SW) has 22 good rooms then maybe
another 50 or so, not often rented, but more suitable to locals and in 2 two storey blocks are at the rear of the land.
All 22 rooms are ground floor only.
The standard of the rooms is great.
I stayed in 16a for which I paid 'standard' rate of 150,000
per night. Its actually a deluxe room.
1 2 3 4 are standard
5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 14 15 are superior
16a 16b 17a 17b 18a 18b 19a 19b are deluxe and near new.

The pool is basic, but fine, restaurant is open air, does the job.
Breakfasts are juice, toast, fresh fruit and tea/coffee but if
you want to add eggs/pancakes, costs an extra 10000.
Laundry service at SW is dependable, convenient and cheap.
I paid 1500 for most items, 1000 for undies, 2000 for towel.
No pool towel, use extra bath towel.
No soap in bathroom, who cares?
You enter SW off Jl Sahadewa almost opposite the old
Indo National, close to opposite the Losari and Hulu Club.
The lane is only about 50 foot off the road, in view of
reception so very safe feeling.
No noise to worry about from Hulu.
Legends Bar (Owned by SW) is opposite not far down,
Billys is on same side, close by.
It felt a very safe location to us, in that Sahadewa is
well lit so no prob to go in and out of lane.
Not probs too great there, just ask.
No pool hours, no restrictions.
I think I have found a hotel that I have always been looking
for, intimate, friendly, great location, close to restaurants
etc, no long dark lane or road to walk along. Rates are
very reasonable.
