Hi Bali Magic, just the ones I have stayed at and sorry, most more 4 /5 star.
Kuta / Legian - Alum KulKul was very nice and friendly - think 4 star
Dewi Sri (2-3star), nice basic accom, friendly staff, no swim up bar, good value
Nusa Lembongan - Bali Hai Huts, great place, bathrooms away from huts, steep stairs, but awesome time. Worth doing 2 nights.
Ubud - IBAH - More Villa style but lovely staff
Seminyak - have tried Sofitel & Contiki which both were nice
Sounds like Alum KulKul could be nice for you.
