Arrived on Saturday on a half full plane from Melbourne and was blown away by how quiet Bali is now, first thing we did is walk along the beach at Legian and there was barely a soul...could've been the fact that the wind was so strong that it took a layer of skin off. Met up with our usual driver Ketut outside the padma...big hugs and a hint of relief, he has had no work and told us the Padma was only 20% full, looked so empty. On Sunday we finally got out of the rain and windy weather...now all blue skies. Our anniversary dinner was wonderfull last night at the Conrad (where we married same time last year)...we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, and the meals were just lovely. The staff are still lovely at the conrad and they surprised us with a cheesecake piece and candles with "happy anniversary Mr & Mrs Scott" on it.Very special. There are heaps of Indonesions staying in our hotel, hardly any euros or aussies. We are a very diverse group here, and the hotel seems the busiest ive seen.
Well, sun is out and I must go and drink Bintang (someone has to)
