There is a planting time, when obviously they wouldn't be green. Not sure how many times a year rice is planted or how long it takes to maturity. 2 weeks ago the fields were luscious in Pacung. Very long and green. Possibly Moira and David would know, seeing that they have an amazing view of the rice Padis from their home.
It would be interesting to get some more info on this.
