I'm off again in Nov, with another friend (hope this one's better than the last one I went with). We're looking for somewhere between Kuta Square & Melasti St, with good air-con, clean, friendly, decent sized pool and swim-up bar. Done lots of research in the archives and still can't decide, Camplung Mas has heaps of good recommendations but Barong has 2 pools, although I read that you often can't get stools at the swim-up bar cos it's so busy the're. Last Nov I stayed at Istana Rama & the swim-up bar was closed 95% of the time cos it was so quiet. We don't want somewhere thats so crowded you can't enjoy some peace but we don't want it dead either. Please help, the Barong looks nicer in the photo's but the Camplung Mas has nicer reports. If anyone has photos of either, I would love to see them.
