Havent heard of rice massages recently -they were popular back when I first went in mid 70's.Have since asked other massage ladies but they dont seem to be familiar wih the concept.I will try again when I get there next week, or can you give me any hints to locate your beach lady? I also use my same Kuta lady each visit and she knows I am there only for her massage,not for buying so she keeps the sellers away. Like you I enjoy the sight and sounds of the local action , especially late afternoon with gamelon music coming from nearby.I usually take a couple of pumice boards up and present them to my massage lady, that way I know they are hygienic if I want a footscrub.
