I agree with ruthrat's restaurant recommendations. There is also a good restaurant on Hanoman St, less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel in the opposite direction to Ubud, called Pizza Bagus. Good prices, pizzas are yummy. They have a bar & a wall mounted TV if you are starved for news. Make sure you wear insect repellant though, I got eaten alive! There is also a small supermarket across the road from the restaurant. I wish I had discovered it at the beginning of my stay instead of the end!
