I think Tegal Sari has a lot to thank us forumites for sharing the wonderful Hotel and its merits.
The Super Deluxe rooms are better to me, than the pictures. I have stayed in room 8 downstairs twice and preferred it to room 12 upstairs. The standard of furnishings, fabrics, linen etc is really lovely. Best value for money. I just adore the view of the ever changing rice paddies.
Breakfasts are ok and to me, probably the only thing to let the Hotel down. Sometimes they didnt appear to be prepared just prior to being delivered to our rooms (probably better to eat in the restaurant, but we loved the balcony and view). They are not huge meals.
Dirty Duck in just across the road and down a bit, easy walk. Lots of others are close and you can always get the staff to run you into the Ubud CBD and pick you up later, no charge. I cant think of the name of the restaurant on the right as you enter the driveway of TS but its upstairs and wa good last August. There is the other one on the road front across the rice paddies at the front. Not good on its name either! Ok food, but we have found service really slow. Good for lunches!
I hope you can get in and make a booking.
A friend called in a week or so ago and found them all booked out once again (didnt you dave?)
