For all you good folk our that are headed over to Yogya I think you should try to visit the Aussie Library in Yogya, I don't know much about it and I have not been there but I do know that maybe about 3 years ago an Australian guy built a free library in or near Yogya as a memorial to his Japanese fiancee, a beautiful young woman, who was killed in a freak storm in Japan about maybe 5 years ago, and only a day or so before she was to fly back to wedding either in Australia or Indonesia. The library, I think, is built in the middle of a rice paddy and is designed for Indonesians from any background to have free access to books and materials. Remember that only 1% of schools in Indonesia have libraries. Reading the library's story in the Jakarta Post made me cry. There is so much negative material about Australia / Indonesia this weekend any good news stories can only be good for all of us. I just wanted to add this info at the risk of turning this forum into a "Not the Bali Travel Forum". Best wishes Thomas
