Hi there, we have stayed at the Ramada the last 2 years. It's a great hotel, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.
Our favourite restaurant close by was the Green Garden Hotel (a couple of minutes walk from the Ramada, heading in the Kuta direction). The food is really nice and very cheap (a lot of meals in the 30 - 40,000RP range). The service can be a little slow at times though. The room service prices at the Ramada are also quite cheap for a 4 star hotel. It's also less than a 10 minute walk to the Discovery mall area etc, so there are lots of good places to eat along the main road there.
If you head right out of the hotel, just past the Kodak shop there is a gangway with a line of shops. About half way down is Jeny's No 29 (a shop run by the Sanur store holder Jeny's daughter - Amy), which is fixed price. There is also another Jenny's on Jl Kartika, opposite the Green Garden Hotel, which I think is fixed price as well.
I've seen a kid's club advertised at the Ramada, but I don't know what it's like (we are a group of adults travelling together). The kid's pool is nice though.
