We were one day over the 30days! in Jan but we just cracked on daft lol ! as we had previously been to the indonesian consulate in perth, prior to leaving, but was too late to apply for 1 day visa as we were leaving following day.
They told us there not to worry , sure they would waive it as was only one day.
wE had just lost air fare with AP and was rush to re book with Garuda.
Well! we arrived at denpasar airport going through emigration when the guy (with lovely smile on his face )says "you have over stayed by one day " and you need to pay!so with a big smile on my face, isaid we do not have the 200,000rp on us , with that my husband produced wallet with roughly 80,000 odd rp. his reply was "you can get the cash with your credit card ? we then explained after havinfg money frauded with our credit card in bali on two occasions , we no longer brought card with us.
He then scratched his head and said how are you getting home from the airport? we said family picking us up.My husband said we need the cash we got to get drinks and eats here on airport (he was a bit slow as we were business class and could use the premier room lol.
Eventualy he said ok ! go through.
Unknown to him we did have more cash , BUT after losing AP fare we had no choice (no offer of cheaper fare like some people got )but to pay business class which with (yet another tax ) was over $1,000 each.so was very reluctant to pay even more.
Sorry to have maybe bored you with my long story but that is what happened to us, but sure if you are checked in before midnight you should be fine after all, we were told at indonesian consulate in perth they would waive the one day.
