Like many I am keen t take goodies to Bali. Having read the term recently - ATMS ON TWO FEET - I have been thinking about the skills that could be offered instead. Currently, a sewing machine, new can be bought for $2199 at Aldi- much less if second hand. Wouldn't it be better to take this for a family or village? Or - at the Lovina market, I saw many women keen to buy fabric off cuts. In Geelong, Victoria, there is a shop that sells fabric at $1.00 a metre. i wonder about the dignity and commonsense re handouts.
Any thoughts everyone?
