Changing return flight when in Bali???

I imagine if you have just bought a normal flight only ticket it would be possible to change your return flight easily enough if you decided to stay longer but if you have used one of the 4 day cheap lead in airfares and then own arrangements is it then possible to extend if (err.....when) you want to stay longer? Does anyone know? I seem to remember maybe Filo changing his flight once, or missing it or something. I'm assuming of course enough days left on you visa.
