If you personally know some Balinese that need help, someone on the forum suggested taking them shopping for food and paying the bill, as $50 AUD can feed a family for 3 months (so they said).
Another suggestion (one that I myself have just followed) is to sponsor a child through the Helen Flavel Foundation. Many Balinese are struggling and cannot afford to educate their children.
For $120 a year, you can sponsor the education of a child in need - eg: uniform, books & medical attention as required. Helen absorbs all the administration costs herself, so you know that ALL of your sponsorship money is going to the Balinese children.
