Some hints from an Aussie Gardener........
The major consideration when designing a garden is creating the interior and the exterior to complement each other.
To give the feeling of a traditional garden, plant in volume.
Pave the main traffic areas and branch into stepping-stones that lead to smaller spaces.
"If you can't go there don't pave it'.
Corners are often not used and are ideal for planting into or to place seating.
The positioning of the elements that make up a garden are very important.

The major consideration when designing a garden around a house or apartment is creating the interior and the exterior to complement each other. This apartment is in the centre and surrounded by the plant material on all sides to give the feeling of a traditional garden, voluminous with plants. The main traffic areas are paved and branch into stepping-stones that lead to smaller spaces. Andrew's philosophy is that 'if you can't go there don't pave it'. Corners are often not used and are ideal for planting into or to place seating. The positioning of the elements that make up a garden are very important.
