and I'm really excited to see how much has been done in such a short time. Thanks Bob for coming to their aid when they had to leave their " packing box style home". Now they have a home which no one can take from them. It's a good feeling to know that it can be handed down to generations to come.
I feel you have done quite enough. It's far better for the family not to stand out and cause jealousy amongst the other village people. They must to blend in. The girls need a good education and you are well and truly covering this.
The father is a very good man. He doesn't gamble and works 7 days a week in the rice fields to care for his family. When a child is recommended for sponsorship, the first thing we do is check with the head of the village and other people to make sure that the father is not a gambler. If he is, the child will not enrolled.
Our conditions are that if a parent is a gambler, they have enough money to pay for their child's education and should not depend on others to pay for their child's schooling.
