it is hard soemtimes to strike a balance but I think you have. You have always had your feet firmly on the ground, as does Helen and I agree that you can go too far.
Good for you Bob, keep it simple, don't make them different. The neighbours will get jealous anyway but by keeping it simple you won't cause any real problems.
