ella_oz I do not envy you, as we have been in similar situations ourselves with young adult children. We were right every time, but they had to find out themselves that what they were doing was not in their best interests. I was studying Indonesian and a lovely girl (who was a trained cardiac sister) was madly in love with a guy in Bali. Her parents went to Bali and visited his parents and wedding plans were being made. She regularly visited Bali, but found out that he was also involved with a Balinese girl and was hearbroken. I am afraid that cultural differences, qualifications to get a reasonable job, and distance put great strains on a relationship. Some relationships have succeeded, but I think there is a high failure rate. I know you realise these facts, but your daughter will probably have to find out the hard way. I just hope she learns by her experience and returns to Uni., as that is a ticket to future happiness.
