if a man has a business and one of them is a restaurant or hotel and that hotel has already cut prices to the quick so that the business is no longer making money then the people who work there lose their jobs.
I really can't understand why you feel that the market stall money does some good and the people who have worked so ruddy hard to get a break in the hotel and hospitality industry don't need it.The waiters, maids, reception staff, gardener, pool boy etc etc etc.do they not figure in your calculations of people who need money? They need their wages.
If boss man says 'ok close hotel' it is the ordinary hard working man or woman in the street who lose their jobs.
