I had a problem with a girl I have been supporting a little or to rephrase "assisting" with a little extra money for her and her bubby.
As I said on a earlier posting when we were discussing getting conned sometimes with the families we help, that I never mind giving money if I want to, but when I am asked for it and it is expected I have a problem with that!! So my little "friend " SMS's me and tells me she needs this amount of money for an operation and I have to send it immediately.. alarm bells rung...
So this is where the wonderful Smudge came in , I emailed him and told him that I still wanted to pay for this medical procedure as I had committed to do so could he check it out for me. He and his helpers have gone to her work , couldn't find her there, so gone to where she lives and tracked her down, then I believe they have taken her to the doctor, picked her up and taken her even.Then Smudge has "shopped around the hospitals and come up with the best deal for me. I have transferred the money to Southern Cross Medical I think thats the name, and she will have her procedure done in due time, which I think is in the next few days.
I am speachless, which in itself is amazing for me, that this guy has basically done this for me and I really only know him from the Bali Travel Forum, out of the goodness of his heart and will not take anything extra than what he has quoted me for all that running around.
