14th May to the end May last year and the weather was lovely. She too does not like the heat much, she was 76yrs then, She did not have a problem coping at all. If the accommodation and transport you hire has air-con she will be fine. Mind you we didn't lay baking on the beach or deck chairs too long, but she swam, walked about and had no problems at all. She loved every minute of her holiday. I hope your mum does too.
