They get most of the traffic already. You need to go to the eateries on the street.

Opposite the hotel is JJs (fantastic). Try the Arak Madu (which is arak with honey and lemon. To die for!).

Aladin is 200 metres to the right of the hotel entrance. Fantastic food. It wouldn't be necessary for John to come pick you up and drop you off, unless you'd had too many Bintangs around the pool. Try their Chicken Florentine. It's great.

Lazer Sports Bar. About 100 metres to the right of the hotel. Good food, great drinks, very friendly staff. Try the penguin satay (which is not really penguin, but little bits of chicken on a skewer with satay sauce). As an entree, or a casual snack, it's terrific. And only AU$1 per serve.

Also Retro. About 200 metres to the left of the hotel, on the way to Hardy's. Excellent food. The owner (can't remember his name) also has cars for hire at a really good price. Talk to him if you need to get around.

If you go to Aladin, say hello to Michael from Allen and Margaret, Vicki and Karl. Tell him we'll be back in May.
