Gumps? We were also there last year when the bombing happened and we were supposed to be at Dulangs (up from Raja's) but changed our plans about 10 minutes before the bomb went off and went to another restaurant instead. After it happened we stayed on in Bali because we didn't want to leave our Balinese friends and we had only been there for 2 of our 14 days. One of the restaurants we went to during the rest of our stay was Bubba Gumps (we went there 5 times in 14 days) and we always felt very safe because of the security check at the front gate. I was just wondering what happened to you to make you think that it would not be a safe place to eat? We did also eat at Cento quite a bit and they had security checking everyone walking in the centre but I was a bit surprised that they didn't check the cars parking underneath. We would be cautious of going there in April when we visit for a week this year but I think we would still go there during the day, maybe not at night.
Anyway, I was just interested in your reasons because maybe there is something I was missing with Bubba Gumps and we really want to visit Waja and all our friends there this trip.
