I spent a lot of time on a football forum and it has the options to edit your postings for a short time after submitting. There have been a number of times that I have done this after reconsidering my words.
I realise this site does not have that option and so I would strongly suggest that anyone posting thinks carefully while they re-read their post before submitting. It could save a lot of embarrassment and regrets.
It also gives one a chance to do a grammar/spellcheck if that is an issue. I like to at least try and get it right.
