dont even offer a price if you are not looking to buy (dont try to practice barter if dont want to buy) dont expect to pay a third, you may get it but if they wont come down that far , maybe stuck at half price you can walk away and they may call you back with a better price, they may not, if they dont you know the price is as good as its going to get, work out what the difference really is, it may be worth going back and paying what they want, you may not find another you like as much.
if I have managed to get what I think is a real bargain, when its all said and done (paid for) I make a point of giving the person a tip, doesnt need to be huge but you will get a smile and a thankyou and you will be remembered if you go back.
