western or indonesian as there are 2 rates. For indonesians it is about half what a westerner will pay.
For example my mate who was hospitalized with Dengue Fever a couple of weeks ago was intially put in a share room [2] beds / fan cooled and was told it would cost him 350,000rp.
My balinese friend went and checked how much an airconditioned room would cost for him and was told 250,000rp. I queried that and asked how could it be cheaper than the fan cooled room. He went back and checked and was told oh that is for Indonesian. The price for westerner is 500,000.
In the end the next day he moved into an aircon room on his own and was charged around 900,000rp per day but food and water had to be paid for on top of the room...
This hospital was Graha Asih [not sure of the spelling] on the bypass road in Tuban.
