The OP is talking about simlocked phones. That locks you onto one network; does not lock the keys. That's a keyboard lock, which all phones have - you can switch that on or off yourself. Sim locking is a little different - you need a sequence of keystrokes and actions, which 'phone-nerds' will sell you (probably illegally) for a small fee; - OR you can pay a large fee to your network!!
