My son is 13 and my twin girls are 9. They loved every minute we were there.
In fact they did not want to come home, especially my son.
He made some great friends from various countries. They have been emailing each other since coming home.
The shopping is good if your kids are into name brand surf gear. You do have to ask they're usually not on show.
You can spend a day at Waterbomb Park (similar to Wet N Wild) it's great fun, so there's the theme park done.
Some of the young people at our hotel did the buggies tour they raved about it.
Also may I suggest staying at The Dynasty. The guys that work around the pool (they call them motivators) are such fun for the young ones.
They run daily activities like pool volley ball & pillow fighting competitions. My son spent hours just sitting in the towel hut talking & laughing with the guys, such a good experience. Look out for Froggy, Agus, Yodi and many more.
Yes The Gold Coast is good but Bali beats it by far and much cheaper.
Have a wonderful family holiday wherever you decide to go. Cheers.
