I have just returned form taking the lids (15,13,11) to the Gold Coast. They had a great time, doing 4 theme parks, but I felt like I was constantly putting my hand in my pocket. It cost over $800 to take 5 of us to the theme parks, (entrance only), plus extra - plenty extra for drinks and food, and that was with us taking some food with us. When we went out to eat, there was no way we could eat out for less than $100 eating at cheaper restuarants, generally only having one course and drinks. A great holiday, but ended up costing as much as flying to Bali, with cultural incentive or cheap shopping! My preference would be Bali, maybe going to the less populated areas so that they can interact more with locals, ending with a couple of days inKuta or Legian...?
