What people want to see is demonstrative steps by the Indonesian government and Balinese police that security is taken seriously and I'm not talking about at the entrances to hotels only.
Tourists will only return or visit Bali when:
* the borders and entry points are being carefully monitored and people/baggage is scrutinised
* those apprehended for prior terrorist attacks receive sentences reflecting the govt's commitment to terrorism; and
* the groups which encourage/support terrorism are dismantled and shut down.
Only then will people feel comfortable enough to consider Bali for their holiday. It's been a case of once/twice bitten twice shy for many and should there be anything else that risks the safety of visitors to Bali then I'm afraid the recovery time will be extremely lengthy and detrimental to the balinese.
