cheapest is to SMS, but if you want to call in person then by far the cheapest is to get a phone card (available on-line or at lots of different shops). Just check the different cards for the cheapest rates to a mobile in Indonesia. Best to get a card that does not have a flagfall charge as you often get disconnected calling mobiles and each time you redial you cop the flagfall again. Have a look at a site www.worldtelecom.com.au click on phonecards and you can compare rates through them.
