Try Hotel Rama(a bit out of town, but great amenities ... and one of the BEST pools, staff, food ...)or Puri Bagus (not far from the lagoon) - great if you want peace and quiet, good service and great skin-diving/snorkelling. This hotel is close to the main restaurants etc. For an amazing experience try Kedai (restaurant)and go for the sampling menu. In August 2005 it was Rp75 000 for 6 courses. "The Kedai is to die for" (old Australian saying).
