Provided that the actual ticket has not been issued by the Wholesaler through whom your Agent booked your package, there should be no problem in extending your stay provided that there is space in the appropriate sub-class on which original flights were booked.

You may find that there could be a booking amendment fee of around $30 from Wholesaler, although they usually allow one change without charge.

If your ticket/s have been issued (if you were on an advance purchase package, then tickets must be issued prior to ticketing time limit for the particular package fare), then you do have problems. Even if the Airline agreed to re-issue your tickets for new return date, this would be subject to availability of seats in the class originally booked; there would also be a Ticket Reissue Fee (usually $55.00 per ticket) plus any additional taxes/surcharges which have been applied since tickets were issued. If you are already holding your Accommodation Documents, the Wholesaler would impose a Document Reissue Fee.
