I have just returned from staying at Anda Amed Resort and loved it. Food was fantastic and the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a fly problem at this time of year but only for a month or so and the locals seem to think it has something to do with the mango season. I have been in Amed at other times and no sign of flies. I found all of the facilities at anda amed to be really good and there was more lighting being put into the bathrooms while I was there. There is also a fly exterminator machine in the kitchen which you can here zapping the insects so that probably helps alot. But I would definatly recomend a stay there if you are going to Amed. The beaches are not the best in the world but there is some great snorkelling by the Japanese shipwreck, lovely coral gardens.
