None of them had to be hospitalised, thank God. I was always aware of fevers and, if Panadol didn't bring it down straight away, then we'd go to the doctor. There is no cure for Dengue fever, but the kids were required to drink Pocari Sweat (a sports drink, better than Gatorade) in large amounts and also a local fruit drink was recommended. Basically any liquids would do, but Pocari Sweat put back the necessary body salts lost through fever perspiration.
Nothing to panic about for tourists on holidays, just be away and use a normal mosquito repellent.
