Can you please explain the difference in taxes between Garuda and any other airline departing Australia. It was always my impression that taxes were fixed by the government and then combined with a number of other charges, set by the airport of departure and subject to a few variables. Remember that all international airports in Australia are privately owned and do not reflect the policies of the Aust' Government, Qantas or any other airline.
