Just returned from Bali and posted about a hotel in a JBR last night if you want to have a read. We stayed at the Yulia Village Inn.... old and a lil musky smelling but not too bad once you settle in, has interconnecting rooms and theyre large with heaps storage, TV, Aircon, Pool and a good rate, we got the rooms for 300,000rp a night over Christmas. Staff were fabulous. Its on Monkey Forest Rd right in the centre of Ubud. I found that there are better places but highly expensive this was the best of the moderate range of hotels. Another one that is nice but not as central is Tegal Sari but they do not have interconnecting rooms, very few plaes do. Rasa Sayang in Monkey Forest Rd has family rooms with a double bed and single beds... also old and musky smelling and not as nice as Yulia and around 30USD. for a dbl .. not sure what it is for a fam room.
