We stay in Tuban....at Bakungs Beach Cottages, it is cheap and clean and the staff are friendly, and I have stayed in worse "4 star" resorts in Australia.
The locals especially Tony in the lane out front are great and his Uncle, Asmoro is a great driver. He will take you anywhere in Bali
