When I was in Bali in sept/oct this year I found this great leather place called French Leather Collection. They are made to order - wholesale and retail and their leather is beautiful. The shop is located in Jalan Sahadewa in Legian about half to 3/4 of the way down the street.
They are really professional and their shop is really clean. They have things pre made that you can buy as well. I bought a real leather satchle bags, (the ones that are everywhere in Australia) for $20. They were the only place I could find them. They copy things from Australian magazines. The bag has been really good as I use it everyday.
The guy that owns it speaks fluent English and to me he sounded like he had an Australian accent.
Even if you don't use this guy be sure to have a wonder down Jl Sahadewa they have some great shops down there especially Miss Jenny Shop. If you go in there and ask for any surf brand things like billabong, roxy they will take you down a side lane into their village. In there they have set up a whole shop selling all the copy brand name things. So don't be alarmed when they take you down the side lane because the vilaage is actually a really nice one, compared to the dirty ones.
