Hi guys I don't know if anyone has already read the Jakarta post today but it has some interesting information in it regarding the abduction and kidnapping warnings - specifically that they are attempting to target prominent and influential people (people with political or economic power) within Jakarta. Don't know how to post a link (not that technically literate!!!) but it is worth a read, because it did allay my concerns about travelling in Feb to Bali a little. I agree that it is completely your choice and it is whatever you feel comfortable with, but I also think that the media does tend to hype things a little. Anyway, hope this helps and I wish everyone safe and happy travels:)
