travel warnings out for AUstralia! I think that it's just a reflection of the way the world is now. As individuals we have a choice, we will either learn to live with it, or spend our lives running away. For me there's little choice. Others may not feel the same. Neither is right or wrong, you must make the decision for yourself. I have met a lot of people who were very worried about safety, but once in Bali they said that their fears felt a little silly. It becomes difficult to differenciate between genuine security worries , and media hype, I suspect!
Personally for what it's worth (very little) I felt totally safe in Bali. The security is increased a hell of a lot, but strangely anglo-saxons don't tend to be searched as much. This worried me, your skin colour is no determination of your fanaticism. Lunatics come in all colours.
The only place that I felt at all concerned about was Centro. The Xmas stuff is just so over the top, and in your face, that I kept thinking if I was a lunatic, this would be where I would bomb.
