but different. Major difference I've noticed (Bali 2 times, Thailand 3) is that the Balinese are more devout. This means less sleaze but they also don't have as wicked a sense of humour as many of the Thais. Both have the rest of the world beat for beach/shopping holidays at great prices. The food in Thailand is great too but more Thai, less international. (Been to Phuket, Bangkok and Koh Samui.)
