Back to reality!!!!! Our family had two wonderful weeks in Bali staying at the Dynasty resort. After many doubts about whether or not to go, and then changing accommodation we finally decided to go relax and enjoy ourselves. I couldn't believe how quiet it was (hotel 32% occupancy) and not many tourists on the streets. Before we went I was a bit hesitant about shopping in the major Department stores, but after entering Matahari's the first time and having bags,
checked etc. I started to relax and went back on numerous occasions (infact too many!!!!!) hence having to sit on the suitcase to fit everything in - I never learn!!!!!
Although we ate at the hotel quite a bit, we did venture out occasionally, but really enjoyed the food at the hotel and found the prices quite reasonable.
The markets were so quiet and you really felt for the people, some of them hadn't had any business for days. They all thank you for coming back.
The boys did white water rafting and the waterbom park which they thoroughly enjoyed, whilst the girls shopped, (infact one day we went out for an afternoon of shopping) and were back in the hotel within the hour as we had spent all our money (in mataharis at the revlon counter)!!!! but we had a ball.
We really loved the Dynasty (didn't know what it would be like with teenagers) but they all had a fantastic time, there was quite a lot of activities going on and then there was gracie kelly's for pool, darts and also a fun quiz night twice a week. The staff were all so friendly and really went out of their way to make your stay very special. All in all it was a fantastic relaxing holiday and fingers crossed we will be back there again next year.
